About

After growing up in Charleston, SC I ventured to Greenville, SC to attend undergrad at Furman University. There, I received a B.A. in philosophy while also exploring a number of classes in religion, leading to my academic interest in continental philosophy of religion. I am currently working towards a Master’s degree in Religion in Culture at the University of Alabama in the hopes of going on to pursue a PhD in philosophy of religion. My research for the next two years is geared toward a phenomenological analysis of religious experience using thinkers such as Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Jaques Derrida. The purpose of this blog is to provide a space for me to get my writing in a public space which will —hopefully—aide in my entry into academic discourse.
